Do you accept my insurance?

  • I currently accept Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Cigna, UMR, United Health, and Optum. If I do not accept your insurance, you may be provided with a superbill both upon request.

What is a superbill?

  • A superbill is a detailed invoice that you can provide to your insurance provider so that you may be able to get fully or partially reimbursed for counseling sessions with me while I am in the process of working to accept your insurance.

Who do you see?

  • I see people across multiple areas of concern and as young as 8 years old. However, my areas of focus include, but are not limited to: adolescents and adults seeking help for; anxiety career and college prep counseling, depression, life transitions, LGBTQ+, OCD, self-harm, and self-esteem issues.

What do you do in a therapy session?

  • In your first appointment, I will ask you some questions in order to better get to know how to help guide you. In following sessions, you can expect to learn more about your thoughts and emotions and gain tools to cope with life stressors so that you can achieve personal growth.

How long does therapy take?

  • Sessions are typically 50 minutes long and may occur on a weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly basis depending on your needs. The number of sessions needed may vary based on your individual goals for counseling. This is something that can be discussed in your first appointment.

How do I know if I need therapy?

  • I personally believe that almost anyone can benefit from therapy, but how do we know it’s the right time for us to try therapy? If you’re feeling stuck or overwhelmed with dealing with life issues and stressors and feel ready to make a change, it may be the right time for you to seek therapy.

Do you prescribe medicine?

  • I am unable to prescribe medicine, but I am happy to help you find a provider who can if needed.
